From the fish tank in the waiting area and the "Fishbucks" program to encourage the kids to take care of their teeth to the care from the dental technicians and Dr. Fischman himself, we've always been pleased with the experience. "I was referred to Dr Fischman via a friend. Since then, my Twins have been patients of Dr Fischman for over a year now and the entire experience has been great so far! They both have braces at this time and we usually work with Dinae and Colleen. The team has always been ultra friendly and able to accommodate both of them at the same time so that we only have to come once every 6 weeks or so.The braces although an investment have been very easy to afford thanks to their payment options and their willingness to work with our insurance providers. "I absolutely love this place! I have had extensive dental work done at many facilities and this is hands down the best by far. The staff are warm and welcoming and Dr. Fischman is an expert in his field. My previous orthodontist had me in braces for 7 years and when finished my teeth were still far from straight and he said there was nothing else he could do for me. I came to Dr. Fischman and my smile has never been better. He and his staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. "I had the absolute best experience at FIschman Orthodontics and that was due to the wonderful staff and the amazing Dr. Steven Fischman. From the start to end they have always been kind an accommodating. I'd been to one too many orthodontists when I was a young child and everyone told me braces alone wouldn't work and I'd need a surgery to readjust my jaw. I was tired and over my smile at the age of 25/26 and decided it was time to fix it. I was led to Fischman Orthodontics and after consultation I knew the quaint, small, personable office was for me. And the plus was he could fix my teeth without the scary surgery. Here we are 3.5 years later and my braces are off and I am for the first time in love with my smile! "Both our boys got braces on in 2014. We were told it would take close to 3 years for both boys to complete the process( give or take a few months early or later)... and depending on how diligent the boys were with wearing their bands depended on when their braces would come off. One son got his braces off today - 3/1/2017 Right on track with Dr Fischman's prediction. Each time we came to an appointment everyone was beyond kind- bubbly personalities and all of the hygienists are wonderful!! Dr Fischman's quiet voice is so calming to both my boys whom are very anxious kids; especially when work is being done in their teeth. Each season my boys played different sports and I often had to cancel or change my appointments and JoAnna was always accommodating and would say, " we're use to it- I have kids- we understand- now let's see what we can find to work your schedule". Always easy, never a problem. The office is beautifully decorated, warm and inviting for kids, teens and even adults!! All kinds of coffees, teas and yummy snacks offered while you're waiting and the best part- Fischman orthodontics has their own parking lot, so never a hassle to park. It's adjacent to West Hartford Center so if your child's appointments run long- you can walk the center. My other son still has a month or two to go and I have to admit, closing this chapter on braces for both kids is so exciting and yet sad in a strange way. Dr Fischman and all his team are truly a dream come true. We have found from the moment we walked in the door, that the staff has been warm, professional and very knowledgeable. My son appreciates tha he can sign in himself and he collects "Fisch-bucks" for taking good care of his teeth (which I appreciate as well!) He is looking forward to cashing in his Fisch-bucks today. "Dr. Fischman and his staff have actually made my daughter's trips to the orthodontist a pleasure! His office is gorgeous, comfortable, fun for younger siblings to wait in, and extremely efficient. We never wait for appointments, and each and every member of the staff is warm and excellent at what they do. My daughter has never felt pain during a visit or afterwards, and she looks forward to collecting her 'fish-bucks" (a reward incentive to encourage good brushing) at each visit. Her teeth have responded to Dr. Fischman's treatment beautifully, and her friends all comment on how "fast" here braces are working. My first impression was that the office really looked nice. Next came the consult. We meet with Dr. Fischman and one of his assistants. It was low pressure/no pressure. Once Dr. Fiscman even asked my daughter why she wanted braces(Her teeth weren't crazy crooked). I hate pressure sales. Didn't get that here. We decided on an action plan and the rest was so easy. Got a discount for being available during their least busy hours. That was great! Appointments were always easy to make. If I had to reschedule they were super helpful. No guilt trips!They offer free coffee, cookies, milk(for those kids on the go). The kids are also given "Fisch Bucks" for brushing, flossing, etc. (Kids spend Fisch Bucks on great stuff that kids like. My daughter has yet to spend. She's saving till the end). My daughter is excited about her Fisch Bucks, and it worked too. She was always brushing and flossing.The staff was also very helpful with the insurance. We changed insurances in the middle of the treatment. Allison took care of that.Visits for adjusting the braces are always fast. Sorry, I don't know all of their names but he has a nice bunch of ladies adjusting the braces. So we never had to wait long for our appointments.I'm actually feeling sad we won't have to visit anymore soon. "Both of my sons had a wonderful experience with Dr. Fischman and staff. They were hesitant going into getting braces but everyone made them feel at ease and the end result was fantastic! The office is cozy and filled with magazines and most important - COFFEE! I can roll out of bed and be here in 5 minutes, which is really important for the early morning appointments that you nicely discount. "Been with Dr. Fischman since 2006 (yikes!), 3 kids. However, he told our middle child was told braces weren't necessary - which is nice to hear! When researching orthodontists with our oldest, we left it up to her to let us know who she felt most comfortable with and after meeting ONLY Dr. F, she said "don't need to see anyone else. Let's go with Dr. Fischman." Does not push excessive, early or unnecessary orthodonture. His calm demeanor, the friendly office staff, comfortable waiting area and easy location/parking all make for a perfect fit for our family. Wouldn't recommend anyone else!"
